Krista Nelson, PhD
Clinical Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Director, River Valley Psychological
Dr. Nelson has extensive experience with complex neurodevelopmental profiles and can help clarify how areas of difficulty that seem unconnected may overlap or impact one another. She has specialized expertise with autism (Asperger’s), ADHD, learning disorders, behavioral issues, depression, and anxiety.
Providing neurodiversity-affirming care is a guiding value across Dr. Nelson's approach to psychotherapy and assessment. Dr. Nelson has served as an adjunct faculty member at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology and conducted in-house psychological assessments at the Galynker Family Center for Bipolar Disorder.

Dr. Nelson graduated from the Clinical Psychology (Health Emphasis) Program at Yeshiva University, with a minor in Child Psychology. She completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric clinical neuropsychology at the Center for Attention and Learning at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Kristin Micceri, MA
Assessment Technician
Kristin is experienced with psychological test administration and scoring, as well as data management and analysis. She has conducted psychometric assessments with individuals impacted by learning disabilities, ADHD, traumatic brain injuries, dementia, and schizophrenia. Over the course of the assessment process she creates a safe, supportive, and comfortable space. Through this work, Kristin is able to highlight strengths and identify learning or psychological challenges that can benefit from support. She enjoys working with adults as well as children.

Kristin graduated from Iona University with an MA in General-Experimental Psychology, with Honors. She has since provided neuropsychological testing in a range of clinical and research settings.
